1D Bar/Bin Nesting Tool in Excel

This Excel tool is designed for the nesting of bar-based products, helping optimize material usage by arranging items from longest to shortest. To use:

1. Open the Excel File: Launch the Excel file containing the nesting macro.

2. Input Data: Copy and paste product numbers, lengths, and quantities into the designated columns.

3. Run the Macro: Click blue button go to the Developer tab, select Macros, and run the nesting macro. This will optimize the arrangement of items, reducing material waste.

4. Check for Errors: If an error occurs, it may be due to security settings. To unblock:

   • Right-click on the file, select Properties.
   • Check the Unblock box (if available), then click Apply and reopen the file.
